Shell is hiring a Senior Project Manager role in the IT Infrastructure organization. We anticipate that the incumbent will be responsible for implementation of multiple medium sized projects or 1 large project/program in the Connectivity space. Typical experience 15+ years in IT with 8+ years of experience in establishing and delivering medium to high complex projects. certification (PMP or equivalent) required and strong understanding of ITIL process development

The Infrastructure Project Manager plans, controls and executes a project or set of related projects to meet identified business needs and deliver business value, through acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills. This role involves delivering small and medium sized Connectivity business improvement and process development projects with medium to moderate risk and complexity. You will be accountable for all aspects of successful on budget and on time project delivery of the projects assigned to you. This role will utilize your skills within Project Management, Process Development, Risk Management, Benefits Management and Change Implementation Planning and Management. On a daily basis you collaborate with the Connectivity Portfolio team (internal customer) and a range of stakeholders including Shell business managers, service providers and onshore & offshore suppliers. Your team as well as your scope is Global and remote in nature.

-    Select and use fit for purpose project management methods to manage the project lifecycle.
-    Works closely with the connectivity portfolio team to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
-    Leads the development and improvements of connectivity target operating models including process flows, RASCI and works instructions.
-    Leads large business improvement programs and assisting the delivery lead to improve delivery process efficiencies, business engagement and communication.
-    Assures successful backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories.
-    Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all aspects of the project lifecycle as defined by the Shell Project and/or Agile Delivery Framework.
-    Mobilize and lead a team with the necessary skills, composed of a mixture of staff and suppliers across organizational boundaries.
-    Create and validate financial forecasts and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and expenditures.
-    Actively identifies and removes impediments to ensure delivery of service development deliverables based on the service/product roadmaps and timetables established by the connectivity portfolio team
-    Rigorously manage scope through a structured change management process to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters with focus on delivering the business benefits.
-    Create and validate financial forecasts and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and expenditures.
-    Ensure appropriate plans and engagements are developed and executed.

Requirements
Accountabilities:


-    Proactively analyze variances against plan to assess trends threatening agreed scope, time, cost, and quality commitments. Identify signs that a project may be at risk and escalate quickly and appropriately.
-    Is and stays current on key ITIL and Programme delivery process developments
-    Is and stays current on key connectivity technology developments that could involve a change to or improvement of products managed
-    Apply Shell project management and IT control/assurance methodologies, standards and processes including architecture, information risk management, and transition to support. Work with information risk management staff to ensure new technology and services deliverables are secure by design.
-    Manage a change control process in relation to the project/programme, gain agreement for revisions to the scope from project sponsors, and ensure projects continue to meet business objectives. Evaluating and making recommendations/decisions on technical options as appropriate.
-    Provide effective leadership to assigned project staff ensuring compliance with project standards, processes, and controls.

-    Exhibiting servant leadership behavior, empowerment and increasing transparency that enables self-organization of teams
-    Familiar with and able to adhere to project management methodologies and tools.

-    Connectivity experience

Skills Mandatory:

-    Programme and Project Management (preferrably certified for Agile/SCRUM; Prince2 and/or PMI)
-    Process and service development experience
-    Supplier management/contract management (incl. SLA's and KPI's) – ideally work experience in telecoms with AT&T
-    ITIL
-    Able to manage virtual teams and work with staff/stakeholders globally.
-    Strong stakeholder management
-    Connectivity experience
