The Materials Synthesis Team is organizationally part of the Hydrocracking & Zeolite Catalysts team, but synthesizes catalysts both for this team as for the Gas Conversion Catalysts (Fischer Tropsch process) team in Amsterdam.

As an Experimentalist in the Materials Synthesis Team, you work with your colleagues and team lead, on developing new catalysts for both refining and chemicals applications. Ultimately, the Materials Synthesis team develops prototype recipes and take these further to be scaled up to commercial scale in close cooperation with Manufacturing Technical Support and other colleagues at our production plants. You will work in project teams and closely collaborate with scientists/program leaders as well as people from reactor testing and Analytical.

You and your colleagues play a critical role in development programs through the timely synthesis of catalyst samples, the development of scalable recipes and by bringing catalyst preparation expertise and know-how to life.
