Shell is embarking on an initiative to introduce a Skills solution in HR, to gain better visibility of granular on the skills of our staff (both Shell staff and contingent workers), and to enable learning in the flow of work, the ability to leverage gigs and to make deliberate, efficient, and informed choices on the redeployment, reskilling and recruitment of staff.
Project Purpose:
The purpose of this senior project management / programme management role is to lead the selection and delivery of a SaaS solution for Skills within Shell.
In this role you will be expected to:
1. Prepare, plan, control, and execute an RFI/RFP project or set of related projects to meet stated business requirements.
2. Lead the implementation of a newly selected Skills solution. As the skills solution will impact many different HR processes, the project will require working with multiple teams and stakeholders across HR, as well as managing integrations with existing systems, and potential decommissioning of legacy solutions which the chosen tool may replace.
3. Agree and deliver a body of work, organised into programmes, projects and workstreams - through acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills and delivering within agreed parameters of scope, cost, timescales, quality, risk, and benefits.
Accountabilities:
1. Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all aspects of the Project/Program lifecycle.
2. Rigorously manage scope through a structured change management process to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters with focus on delivering the business benefits.
3. Create and validate financial forecasts and investment proposals and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and expenditures. Use creative costing and business models to capitalize on greater leverage power.
4. Ensure appropriate stakeholder change and communication plans and engagements are developed and executed.
5. Partner with business stakeholders to validate the Project/Program strategic business case, define success metrics and criteria, and to identify, measure, and sustain planned vs. achieved benefits. Proactively look for additional benefits to be delivered by taking advantage of systems, processes, and data already in place or being deployed.
6. Apply Shell project management and IT control/assurance methodologies, standards and processes including architecture, information risk management, and transition to support.
Skills & Requirements:
1. Typical Experience: 10+ years in IT with 8+ years of IT Project or Program Management experience in establishing and delivering progressively larger and more complex projects.
2. Experience in HR IT implementation projects is mandatory. Experience in HR IT delivery in areas of Talent, Skills and / or Learning is highly desirable.
3. Able to manage highly complex programmes operating using multiple methodologies, operating over more than one financial year and impacting an entire line of business, with components of business restructuring or operating model changes.
4. Strong communication skills to enable successful Stakeholder management as well as dependent providers in the Project.
5. Experience in running a complex RFI and RFP processes
6. Project and Program Management experience (Waterfall & Agile) 7. Professional certifications related to project or Program management (e.g. PMP, MSP, PgMP)
