Description/Comment:
Production Chemistry is the technical authority on the use of chemicals in the production system, including the well. Production Chemistry sits on the boundaries of development, wells and production functions - representing productions interests to the other disciplines. It aspires to be the integrator for delivering wells and production.
Additional Job Details:
Role as associate researcher for:
1. Typical lab activities, e.g. conduct analytical activities (GC, XRF)
2. Coordinate analytical activities with Analytical department and data processing
3. Feedstock preparation and analysis (required for pilot plant testing)
4. "bench scale unit" & Pilot Plant type of experiments. The candidate will be part of Process Development team, working on projects that are relevant for our Energy Transition, e.g. develop new technologies. It is expected from the candidate to be a team player. The work requires both chemical knowledge and if possible basic understanding of process equipment (such as pumps, mixers, reactors) and process control (such as temperature, pressure, flow control).
Profile of the candidate:
• Min. HBO (BSc) level, chemical technology / process technology background, or chemistry with (proven experience)/affinity with process setups.
• Strong interest in experimental and/or process technology work experience and a good ability to quickly adapt to new dynamics.
• Strong attention to working safely and cautiously, in accordance with all the company's requirements and expectations. • Learns fast, independent, result-oriented, creative, and with strong problem-solving ability.
• Can work well together in a diverse team as well as work independently.
• Strong communication skills, in Dutch and English (the candidate will mainly work in a Dutch speaking environment, however, sometimes it is required to share results in English)
• Not a requirement: experience with independent execution of an experimental program and processing/reporting results (or fast learner after onboarding)
