Job Description:
The Project Engineer brings early project execution input in preDG3 phases of projects and modifications and delivers project execution up to handover to operations. You are single point accountable for the safe and competitive delivery of a portfolio of capital projects or facilities modifications in NAM. She/he displays visible HSE leadership and provides project assurance for onshore project/modification activities, aligned with PMF/DCAF requirements. What is the Role?

The position of project engineer reports into the Chapter Lead Projects & Turnarounds and the role works directly in a squad under a squad lead.  Your Accountabilities
· Goal Zero, both for personal safety and for process safety. The Project Engineer is expected to be a role model and drive a healthy HSSE & Quality culture: caring for people, keeping the discussion on risks alive, being curious how work gets done, welcoming bad news without blame, bringing a learner mindset and demonstrating visible safety leadership.
· Manage scope and successful delivery projects/modification activity within the agreed budget, schedule for completion, statement of requirements and HSE policy and rules of the company.
· Full delegated CAPEX/OPEX budget responsibility for capital project(s) and modifications 1-100 mln US$.
· Manage a high-performance culture in the squad and with the project team, with an engaged work force that feels empowered, motivated, and supported to deliver Top Quartile business results.
· Ensures Contractor or in-house teams produce a fit-for-purpose design that is constructible and that fulfils operational requirements.
· Ensure timely handover to operations.
· Collaborate with and connect to other squads, which consists of Subsurface, Wells, IDT and Operations, Maintenance, Engineering staff.
· Ensures efficient and accurate levels of reporting throughout the life of the Project.
· Key contributor to lessons learnt and shares best practices in the Chapter. 

REQUIREMENTS
· Education: Degree in a relevant discipline
· Required: Project management accreditation (IPMA/APM/PRINCE2)
· Excellent people skills, culturally sensitive with demonstrable team building, organizational and leadership abilities.
· Effective communicator with proven negotiation skills with balanced decision making abilities.
· Site fabrication and systems completion will be an advantage.
· Fluency in English (speaking and writing). Mastery of the Dutch language is strongly preferred.
· Affinity with (digital) innovation.
